An exemption or reduction on vehicle licence fee and vehicle licence duty may be available for certain Government owned vehicles.
How to apply for a government vehicle concession
An application form is not required, but a vehicle inspection is required if the vehicle is unlicensed.
Vehicles must be licensed in the name of WA government agencies, public schools, departments and all other organisations accountable to the State government under the Finance Management Act 2006, such as public hospitals and statutory authorities.
Federal Government concessions

Commonwealth vehicles are exempt under the Commonwealth Vehicles (Registration and Exemption from Taxation) Act 1997 from the payment of vehicle licence duty.
State Government concessions

Notes:
For public school vehicles to be eligible for this concession, all vehicle licences granted or transferred to the school must be in the organisation name of Minister for Education.
Vehicles cannot be licensed in the name of an individual school or the school Principal.
Principals are the only delegate of the school authorised to sign on behalf of the Minister for Education on all application forms.
Vehicles licensed in the name of a port authority or water corporation are not eligible for this concession.
